On a recent trip to Paris, I made a painting of the Jardins de Luxembourg, just after rain, in April.

Back in British Columbia, near Victoria on Vancouver Island, this small lake is a place I return to from time to time and always enjoy painting there.

One cold December evening when I parked by Harris Green, Victoria, B.C., I was fascinated by the interlacing of the branches of the trees there with the stars just showing through, and I made repeated visits there to draw the scene which I later painted in my studio:
