My paintings fall into many categories - I love to make portraits of my friends; I also like to paint on location wherever I go, and have numerous landscape paintings. As a cook, I have always loved the appearance of the beautiful ingredients we have available to us, and often after getting out what I am about to cook, sometimes I am so struck by the perfection of their beauty that I make a drawing or painting instead of cooking. And besides all these subjects, over the years I have made very many paintings of flowers. If you particularly like a particular subject matter, follow the links below to see more paintings of that kind.
Last summer I visited my friend Ani; sitting in her kitchen and having a cup of tea I made this little watercolour sketch while she made a little painting of a bowl of fruit.
Another summer evening, as the light was fading and a cool breeze coming from the ocean, I made this oil paint sketch of my friend Margaret.
