The Mesa at Ashcroft


Ashcroft is in a landscape very different from my Vancouver Island home. In the foreground the sagebrush shrubs grow from an arid reddish soil which, in the distance, is worn into badland forms before rising to low mountains wreathed with cloud. In the bottom of the nearby valley the highway snaked along.
